CHP MP Günaydın Defends Himself Amid Expulsion Decision

CHP Group Deputy Chairman Gökhan Günaydın has issued a strong response following the party's decision to refer nine Members of Parliament, including himself, for disciplinary action with a demand for expulsion. Günaydın expressed his disbelief at the decision, stating, "May God grant wisdom, I say nothing else." Günaydın emphasized his long-standing commitment to the Republican People's Party (CHP), asserting, "We are the true children of the Republican People's Party. I have always served in the Republican People's Party with integrity and law. No one can say a single word to me on this matter, there is not a single claim against me, not even a single secret witness slander in my mind. But here we are, facing such a result." He acknowledged the disciplinary process, which involves the party council and referral to the High Disciplinary Committee. Günaydın directly challenged any accusers, stating, "Let me speak for myself so I can be at ease. Those who serve there are also people who know us. Let someone look me in the eye and say, 'I saw Gökhan Günaydın here with this financial or ethical deficiency,' and I will confront them."
