Christian Casas, 34, the brother of Mario and Óscar who runs the family businesses and dates one of Shakira’s dancers

Christian Casas tried the same path as his brothers, Mario and Óscar, but acting never became his profession. After appearing as a child on television, he moved away from the cameras and trained in economics.

Casas appeared in the 2003 miniseries La Mari and later had small roles in Hospital Central, El Internado, La que se avecina and Cuéntame. In 2014, he completed his economics degree at Madrid’s Complutense University and began directing his career toward finance and business management.

He later worked at Deloitte Spain, handling tax matters, before leaving the consultancy to focus on his own projects and companies linked to his family. His sister Sheila described him as “the most intelligent in the family” and said he manages the family’s accounts.

Casas also helps manage Mario and Óscar’s careers through Memento Cine. In 2021, he took over from his father in overseeing Casas3casas Promociones. The following year, he became chief executive of audiovisual producer Home Films, two roles that explain his place in the Casas business structure.

His work keeps him connected to film, but behind the scenes. He reviews projects, contributes to financial decisions and is among the first people to read scripts sent to Mario. Public exposure remains uncomfortable for him. When he accompanied Mario on La Revuelta in 2024, he said: “I don’t like speaking. I die of embarrassment. I’m the unknown brother.”

Casas has been in a relationship for several years with Mónica Peña, a dancer and choreographer from Benavente, Zamora. Peña became known after appearing on Fama, a bailar in 2018 and later worked on tours, music videos and major musical productions. One of her most visible jobs was appearing in the video for “Girl Like Me,” Shakira’s collaboration with the Black Eyed Peas.
