Chronology of the Death of IKN Spokesperson Troy Pantouw at ASN Housing Complex

Troy Pantouw, a spokesperson and communications staff member for the Nusantara Capital City Authority (IKN), passed away on Saturday at his residence in the ASN Nusantara housing complex. He was 44 years old. Medical teams at RS Hermina IKN pronounced him dead due to natural causes at 2:25 PM WITA. Thomas Umbu Pati Tena Bolodadi, Deputy Head of Development Control for the IKN Authority, detailed the events leading up to Pantouw's death. Pantouw had woken up and was active since 6:00 AM WITA, preparing for a trip to Balikpapan scheduled for 8:00 AM WITA to lead a church service. Concerns arose when Pantouw's personal driver could not reach him by phone as his departure time neared. The driver went to Pantouw's room, number 102 in Tower 6 of ASN 3 Housing, and after receiving no response to knocking or calls, they forcibly opened the locked door. They found Pantouw lying in his bed. He was immediately rushed to the nearest hospital around 12:45 PM WITA, where doctors confirmed his death at 2:25 PM WITA. Initial physical examinations revealed no suspicious signs on Pantouw's body. According to his family, he had a history of hypertension and was on daily medication. After administrative procedures and respects were paid at RS Hermina IKN, Pantouw's body was transported to Jakarta, with his family expecting his arrival at the funeral home on Sunday morning. Pantouw's passing leaves a deep void within the IKN Authority. He is remembered as one of the pioneering figures involved in the early stages of the nation's capital relocation. Alongside Thomas Umbu Pati and Myrna Safitri, Pantouw was appointed to assist the Head of the IKN Authority during the initial phase of construction in 2021, when the area was still largely undeveloped industrial forest land.
