Chung Hsin-ling jokes about being twins with Lin Mei-hsiu on drama set

Taiwanese actress Chung Hsin-ling made a surprise guest appearance in the new Public Television Service (PTS) drama "Mother's Fortune Money," joining a cast that includes Lin Mei-hsiu, An Xin-ya, Mo Yun-wen, and Yen Cheng-lan.

The production team behind "Mother's Fortune Money" is the same creative force that produced the hit series "My Heavenly Mother," including producer Su Yi-hsiung and director Deng An-ning. Chung Hsin-ling, who previously worked with the team, humorously described her cameo as a way to "repay kindness."

For her role, Chung portrayed a 37-year-old international movie star. "I'm so happy to play young!" she exclaimed, describing her dramatic entrance from a car as being "like Jay Chou's debut."

Adding to the comedic element, Lin Mei-hsiu playfully deceived a 9-year-old child actor by claiming she and Chung Hsin-ling were twins. The child actor, who believed the story, remarked, "No wonder I thought you two looked so alike!" Chung Hsin-ling found this amusing, joking that perhaps in a child's world, people are distinguished by their "body shape."

The drama also features a surprising twist in character relationships, with Chung and Darren, who played mother and son in a previous series, now sharing ambiguous "past life lovers" dialogue, much to the amusement of the cast and crew.
