Cimahi Police Arrest 35 in Month-Long Drug Bust, Seize Narcotics Worth Millions

Cimahi Police have reported a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, arresting 35 suspects in connection with 33 cases over the last month. The operation, conducted across Cimahi City and West Bandung Regency, resulted in the seizure of a substantial quantity of narcotics valued at approximately 800 million Indonesian Rupiah (around $50,000 USD). Wakapolres Cimahi, Kompol Zulkarnaen, detailed the confiscated items, which included 263.24 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 393.27 grams of synthetic tobacco, 120 ml of synthetic tobacco liquid, 40 ecstasy pills, 19,080 restricted hard drugs, and 15 ml of ketamine in five cartridges. Police estimate that the seizure potentially saved around 100,000 lives. Among the arrested individuals, three are repeat offenders. The cases involved various forms of drug distribution, including crystal meth, synthetic tobacco, ketamine, restricted hard drugs, and ecstasy. Authorities are continuing their investigations into all 33 cases and 35 suspects, employing diverse methods to distribute the illicit substances, such as online sales, "tempel" (drop-off) methods, cash-on-delivery, and face-to-face transactions.
