Cinehill Festival Concludes with Award Winners, Tribute to Director Krešo Golik

The Cinehill film festival is set to conclude its run with a Sunday program celebrating award-winning cinema and honoring the legacy of Croatian director Krešo Golik. The day's events offer a diverse mix of film screenings, cultural tributes, and outdoor activities.

Festivities begin at the Kino Golik with screenings of "Muhe" (Flies) by Fernando Eimbcke, the festival's winning feature film, and "L'Avant Post 21" by Camille Surdez, the best short film. Earlier, at Kino Golik, Milivoje Obradović's "15 i po" received a special jury mention, and Ana Predan's "Držim te" was named best domestic short film.

A significant part of the day is dedicated to Krešo Golik. A monument to the acclaimed director, sculpted by Darija Žmak Kunić, will be unveiled at noon on Šetnica Kreše Golika. This will be followed by a screening of his classic 1966 documentary, "Od 3 do 22," at Kino Golik.

The festival also incorporates a "Sports Day" featuring a mountain hike, a paddleboarding course on Lake Lepenica led by CRO SUP club, and screenings of two sports documentaries from Rijeka: Sanjin Stanić's "Život na Sisi," chronicling a solo transatlantic regatta, and Mirko Žorž's "Gurati naprijed," focusing on wheelchair basketball players. Discussions with the filmmakers and protagonists will follow these screenings.

The day's cinematic offerings continue with a second screening of Andrea Di Stefano's "Trener" at Kino Lič, and a play titled "Trening" directed by Paško Vukasović at Lake Lepenica. The festival's final screening at 9 p.m. at Kino pod branom will feature the film that received the highest audience rating of the week.
