Dino Merlin returns to Sarajevo's Koševo Stadium for three concerts after 11 years

Dino Merlin is set to captivate audiences with three sold-out concerts at Sarajevo's iconic Koševo Stadium from July 31 to August 2, his first performances there in 11 years. The acclaimed musician is also gifting fans a new song, "Zbog tebe," to commemorate these special nights.

I was thinking about how to mark such special moments in life, like these three nights at Koševo, and I realized the most beautiful gift I can give my audience is a song.

Merlin, who was born near the stadium, considers Koševo more than just a venue; he calls it his "Piedmont," a place of profound self-discovery and connection to his roots. He acknowledges the immense responsibility and gratitude he feels for performing three consecutive stadium nights, a feat he describes as unusual and significant.

Koševo is more than a stadium for me. It's my Piedmont, a place of meeting with myself, and with all that has shaped me.

Reflecting on his journey, Merlin notes the vast difference between his first concert at Koševo in 2000 and the upcoming shows. He humorously recalls a friend's observation that "it's easiest when you have no idea what you're talking about," suggesting a past ease born from inexperience. Now, with decades of experience and a deeper understanding, the upcoming concerts carry a greater weight of expectation and emotional resonance.
