Claims He Saw 'Antichrist,' Causes Accident, Attempts to Steal Medical Helicopter in Florida

A man in Florida, identified as Riley Ferrer, has been arrested after causing a serious car accident and subsequently attempting to steal a medical helicopter. The incident occurred on Interstate 75 in Hernando County late Friday night.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Ferrer's vehicle veered off the road, collided with another car, and overturned in a wooded area. The occupants of the second vehicle sustained serious injuries. Emergency services responded, and a medical helicopter landed on the highway to transport the injured.

As rescue teams were preparing the patients for air transport, Ferrer reportedly ran past emergency personnel and attempted to board and steal the helicopter. Law enforcement officers intervened and apprehended him. Ferrer was taken for a medical evaluation and subsequently transferred to the Hernando County Detention Center.

Ferrer faces multiple charges, including three counts of resisting an officer without violence and one count of attempted occupied vehicle theft. He was initially granted a $3,000 bond for the resisting charges but remains in custody without bond for the theft charge. His alleged motive for causing the initial crash, as stated to authorities, was that he had "seen the Antichrist."
