Claudio Tapia: Scaloni is My Plan A, B, and C; Open to Visiting Fans' Return

Claudio Tapia, the president of the Argentine Football Association (AFA), has publicly addressed various issues concerning Argentine football, reaffirming his unwavering support for national team coach Lionel Scaloni.

Tapia dismissed any notion of alternative coaching plans, stating emphatically, "My plan A, my plan B, and my plan C is Scaloni." He expressed frustration with criticism directed at the national team's successes, suggesting that some people are displeased by the team's triumphs and the happiness of the Argentine people.

Regarding the return of visiting fans to local tournaments, Tapia suggested that clubs should have the autonomy to decide whether to allow rival supporters. "If we can do it in the Copa Argentina, why can't we give the club the opportunity in local tournaments, if they want to receive visitors, let them do it?" he proposed.

It angers me because it seems there are people who are bothered that the Argentine national team continues to achieve victories or titles. I think it bothers them that the Argentine people are happy.

Looking ahead, Tapia revealed his personal ambition to continue leading the AFA until the 2030 World Cup. "I would like to be president for 2030 because we worked for this. I would like to be the president of that World Cup," he stated.
