Climate Change Poses Growing National Security Threat: Defence College Commandant

The National Defence College (NDC) in Nigeria has issued a stark warning: climate change is no longer just an environmental concern but a direct threat to national security. Commandant Rear Adm. Abdullahi Ahmed emphasized the urgent need for robust military preparedness and multi-stakeholder collaboration to tackle the escalating risks. The NDC's roundtable discussion, co-organized with the Sustainable Development Training Centre, brought together senior military personnel, policymakers, academics, and development partners.
