Climate change puts Fiji health facilities at risk

Climate change is putting Fiji’s health facilities under growing pressure, with damage to infrastructure, saltwater intrusion and changing patterns of vector-borne diseases emerging as concerns.

Deputy Prime Minister Manoa Kamikamica said climate change should no longer be treated only as an environmental issue. He described it as a direct threat to public health and the economy.
