Cluj Rally Changes Public Transport Routes, Imposes Traffic Restrictions

The "Raliul Clujului" event, set to take place from June 19 to 21 in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, will significantly alter public transportation routes and introduce traffic restrictions. The Public Transport Company of Cluj-Napoca (CTP) has announced a series of changes affecting buses, trolleybuses, and trams, primarily in the vicinity of the Cluj Arena.

Traffic will be restricted on Splaiul Independenței starting Friday, June 19, after 10:30 PM, and again on Saturday, June 21, between 4:00 PM and 8:30 PM. These restrictions will necessitate deviations for several key transport lines.

Line 30 (Grigorescu Quarter – Aurel Vlaicu) will operate on a modified route in both directions, suspending stops such as Cluj Arena and Hotel Radisson, while adding the Aleea Stadion stop. Similarly, lines 27, 28/28B, and 44 will see route adjustments, with the Parcul Central stop being canceled and Dragalina Sud added. The metropolitan line M26 (Cetatea Fetei – Cluj Napoca) will also be rerouted, suspending stops like Cluj Arena and Fabrica de Bere, and adding Aleea Stadion.

Trams on the 101A route will be replaced by buses operating on a diverted path. These buses will suspend stops including Cluj Arena and G. Barițiu, while adding Dragalina Sud. Tram line 100 will continue to operate on its usual route between Piața Gării and B-dul Muncii. The night line 54N will also follow a modified route, suspending the Chios and Splaiul Independenței stops and adding Sala Polivalenta. The CTP advises passengers to consult the updated schedules and routes during the event period.
