Coach KG Elite Go Undefeated to North Zone Second Division Title

Coach KG Elite turned an eighth-place finish into an undefeated championship in just one season, completing the 2026 Lincoln “Cripple” Griffith North Zone Basketball League Second Division campaign with a 14-0 record.

The team, part of the NCA Warriors programme, sealed the title with a 2-0 sweep of Caledonia Clippers. Coach KG Elite won the opening game 80-49 and followed with a 75-62 victory in Game Two. It had also swept UTT 2-0 in the semifinals.

JJ Edwards-Caracciolo led the attack throughout the championship run, averaging 18 points, four rebounds and three assists per game. Cristian Farnum added 16 points, three rebounds and three steals per game, making an impact on both ends of the court.

The title represents more than a trophy for the programme. Coach KG Elite was created as another competitive route within NCA Warriors, giving younger players opportunities to face experienced senior opposition. The leap from eighth place to 14-0 champions marks another stage in that development.

Celebrations will be brief. Coach KG Elite now faces the Elite Basketball League, described as one of the country’s leading First Division competitions. NCA Warriors will continue its EBL campaign on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the Pleasantville Indoor Sporting Facility against Morvant Oilbirds.
