Queen’s Park Oval honours Bravo, Pollard and Narine with renamed stand

Dwayne Bravo, Kieron Pollard and Sunil Narine now have their names permanently displayed at Queen’s Park Oval, the latest recognition for three Trinidad and Tobago cricketers who rose through the club’s youth system.

The Queen’s Park Cricket Club renamed its Trini Posse Stand the Bravo, Pollard & Narine Stand at a ceremony held on Trinidad and Tobago’s 64th Independence Anniversary. The tribute came two days after Trinbago Knight Riders retired Bravo’s No. 47 jersey, making him the first player in Caribbean Premier League history to receive that honour.

Bravo is the CPL’s most decorated player, with five titles as a player and another as TKR head coach. His 129 wickets place him among the competition’s leading wicket-takers. Pollard has won three CPL titles, including championships with Barbados Tridents in 2014 and TKR in 2020 and 2025. He was also named CPL Player of the Tournament in 2020 and 2025.

Narine remains one of the leading spin bowlers in modern T20 cricket and continues to play an important role for TKR. He was named Player of the Match against Barbados Tridents at the Oval on Saturday after scoring 55 from 33 balls and taking two wickets. The club said the trio had brought pride to Queen’s Park, Trinidad and Tobago and West Indies cricket, while also stressing the developmental purpose of the renamed stand. The names of the three players had already been honoured with dedicated VIP parking spaces at the Oval in 2022.

Dwayne, Kieron and Sunil are products of our club. They developed their cricket at Queen’s Park, wore our colours with distinction and carried the name and tradition of Queen’s Park with them throughout their remarkable careers around the world.
