Coach Ledesma: Humility is key as Sportivo 2 de Mayo leads tournament

Eduardo Ledesma, coach of Sportivo 2 de Mayo, stressed the importance of maintaining humility after his team's 1-0 victory over Olimpia. The win keeps the "Gallo Norteño" atop the Clausura tournament standings.

Ledesma credited the team's strong start to the combined efforts of the coaching staff, players, and management. He acknowledged that Olimpia controlled parts of the match and that his team struggled with possession at times. However, he praised his players' resilience and their ability to capitalize on crucial moments.

"The kids gave everything on the field. The solidarity in the group is evident, and that's why we earned the win today," Ledesma stated. He also highlighted the team's tactical adaptability and the significant contributions from substitutes.

Looking ahead, Ledesma urged caution regarding championship aspirations, emphasizing a game-by-game approach. "We know that by doing things well here at home, picking up three points whenever possible, that will allow us to stay at the top," he said.
