Colo Colo set to sign Cape Verdean star goalkeeper Vozinha

Colo Colo, the leading team in Chile's top league, is finalizing the acquisition of goalkeeper Vozinha, a notable player for Cape Verde in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. The 40-year-old shot-stopper has completed his visa and work permit processes and is scheduled to arrive in Chile on Thursday.

Upon arrival, Vozinha is expected to undergo rigorous medical examinations and complete the final administrative steps before officially signing with the "albo" club. His addition aims to bolster the team's goalkeeping options, particularly after Fernando de Paul sustained an injury.

Following his evaluations and contract signing, Vozinha will be presented to the team and begin training. He will compete for the starting goalkeeper role with Gabriel Maureira, who has been filling in since de Paul's injury. Colo Colo, currently at the top of the Liga de Primera, is preparing for its next match on Saturday against Everton.
