Colonel-Major Bertin SOMDA: Family expresses thanks and announces funeral details

The family of Colonel-Major Bertin SOMDA has issued a public announcement expressing profound gratitude for the outpouring of support following his passing. Colonel-Major SOMDA, a retired officer of the Gendarmerie and former Chief of Staff, died on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. His funeral and interment took place in his native village of Langlé.

The announcement includes a biblical quote from 2 Timothy 2:10-11, reflecting on salvation and eternal glory. It details the extensive family network, including his wife, children, grandchildren, siblings, cousins, nephews, nieces, and allied families, spanning various regions and even including traditional leadership roles.
