Comedian Lee Sang-joon has issued a detailed explanation regarding recent controversies surrounding his Los Angeles stand-up comedy performance. Lee faced criticism for alleged tardiness, insufficient rehearsal, and a perceived lack of preparation, exacerbated by a visit to a baseball stadium shortly before the show. Addressing these points on Instagram, Lee stated he arrived at the venue in the morning and was backstage 10 minutes before the show's start. He explained the performance began about 10 minutes late due to audience seating issues, not his own tardiness. Lee also clarified that he conducted sound checks and all rehearsals in the morning. The baseball stadium visit, he explained, was an effort to find relatable local content for his audience, drawing parallels to his previous New York shows where he engaged in similar activities. However, Lee admitted fault regarding sound quality issues in the front rows, apologizing for not checking them more thoroughly. He described his current comedy as his present level, stating that audiences who appreciate it will come, and those who don't are free not to attend.
