Como stun Napoli at the Maradona as Inter, Milan, Juventus and Lazio stay perfect

Como produced the first major jolt of the Serie A season by beating Napoli 2-1 at the Maradona. The visitors’ coordinated passing and pressure proved more effective than Napoli’s individual quality in the match’s decisive moments.

Como took the lead in the 17th minute. Assane Diao beat Mathías Olivera and found Martin Baturina, who had been left unmarked and placed the ball into the corner. Napoli responded around the half-hour mark when Rasmus Højlund carried the ball past defenders and scored with a superb diagonal finish.

Como continued to control the flow of the game and regained the lead after pressing Napoli’s defense. A mistake involving Amir Rrahmani, André-Frank Zambo Anguissa and another Napoli defender allowed Anastasios Douvikas to score the winner.

Napoli coach Massimiliano Allegri introduced fresh players after halftime, including Leonardo Spinazzola, Allan and Kevin De Bruyne. The changes did not break Como’s defensive structure. The result left Como close to the leaders after an opening draw with Udinese. Inter returned from Cagliari with a 1-0 win through Hakan Çalhanoğlu, while Frattesi scored Lazio’s decisive goal against Genoa. Milan beat Venezia, with Gonçalo Ramos scoring his first goal for the club, and Juventus also won. Four teams now have six points after two rounds.
