Como Thrash Genoa 4-1 to Go Top Overnight

Como turned an early Genoa lead into a convincing 4-1 victory at Marassi, taking the temporary lead in the Serie A table as the third round began.

Genoa struck first in the 19th minute. Baldanzi sent Colombo down the left, and Colombo's driven cross found Osmajic, who finished first time past Butez.

In the 80th minute, Kean advanced centrally before setting up Diao, who crossed his shot into the net to complete the victory.

The defeat left Genoa with three losses from three matches under Daniele De Rossi. Como, coached by Cesc Fabregas, could enjoy the top spot at least until the remaining third-round games were played.
