Concepción: Suspected financial institution robbers apprehended

Authorities in Concepción, Paraguay, have arrested two individuals, including a minor, suspected of orchestrating a significant robbery at a financial institution a week ago. The arrests occurred on Friday following two separate raids.

During the first raid in the Niño Salvador settlement, police apprehended Sergio Andrés Bello Recalde, 30. His residence yielded 53 small bags of marijuana, a Star Desert SK 150 motorcycle, a Samsung cell phone, and low-denomination cash. The regional head of Investigations, Commissioner César Diarte, reported these findings.

In the second raid, in the San Luis neighborhood, a 17-year-old male was arrested. Officers discovered a Taurus .38 caliber revolver with four unspent cartridges and a Xiaomi Redmi cell phone. According to the investigation led by Commissioner Diarte, both suspects are believed to be responsible for the July 30th robbery at the Credi Ágil finance company in the city center.

Further investigation led police to a workshop in the San Roque area, where the motorcycle allegedly used in the robbery was found completely disassembled. A woman at the location stated that Bello had brought the motorcycle there. The investigation involved analyzing closed-circuit television footage from the scene of the crime and gathering information on the identities of the two masked assailants.
