Congratulations to the champion Sultanlar: “We are companions to this magnificent team”

The Sultanlar have completed another double triumph in front of their home supporters. After lifting the 2026 FIVB Nations League trophy, Turkey’s women’s national volleyball team won the European Championship by beating Italy 3-2 in the final at Istanbul’s Sinan Erdem Sports Hall.

The result repeated the team’s 2023 achievement, when Turkey also won both the Nations League and the European Championship. This time, the European title also earned Turkey direct qualification for the 2028 Summer Olympic Games.

Vodafone Turkey, title sponsor of the Sultanlar League and main sponsor of Turkey’s women’s national teams, issued a congratulatory message after the victory. CEO Engin Aksoy said the team had once again demonstrated the strength, belief and determination of Turkish women to the world.

Aksoy said the home European title, arriving immediately after the Nations League championship, had brought “indescribable pride.” He congratulated the players, coaching staff and Turkish Volleyball Federation for recreating what he called a historic moment.
