Conrad Seoul’s Samuel Peter promoted to lead Hilton Korea, overseeing the group’s hotels nationwide

Samuel Peter will lead Hilton’s hotel portfolio in South Korea without leaving his post as general manager of Conrad Seoul.

Conrad Seoul announced that Peter had become Hilton’s Area General Manager, Korea, on the 1st. The Swiss national has more than 20 years of hotel operations experience across major Asian markets, including Japan, Singapore and Thailand.

Before moving to Seoul, Peter served as general manager of Hilton Hiroshima and led the hotel’s opening. He also managed international events, including the G7 summit. At Hilton Tokyo and Hilton Singapore, his responsibilities included the Rugby World Cup and Formula One Grands Prix.

At Hilton Tokyo, Peter expanded the hotel’s food and beverage business beyond on-site demand into external catering. During the Rugby World Cup, the hotel operated large-scale catering outside its premises and improved turnover at a food and beverage venue that attracted about 3,000 visitors a day. Peter discussed the external revenue model in an interview with Dong-A Ilbo last year.
