Consumers groan as petrol prices top N1,300 per litre after three increases in one week

Consumers in Nigeria are facing another increase in petrol prices, with retail rates rising above N1,300 per litre at some outlets.

Checks by Vanguard on Sunday found that filling stations in the Federal Capital Territory had raised pump prices again. The increases marked the third adjustment by marketers in one week.

Consumers expressed concern over the continuing volatility and called on the federal government to intervene to bring greater stability to the downstream petroleum sector.
