Controversy in Bolivia: 86 Kilos of Marijuana Found on Bus Hired for Sao Paulo Football Team

A controversial incident has disrupted the travel plans of the Brazilian football club Sao Paulo in Bolivia. The team's chartered bus, intended to transport players from Santa Cruz de la Sierra airport to their hotel, was intercepted in Cochabamba carrying a significant quantity of illegal drugs.

During a routine control on Monday night, authorities discovered four sacks containing 86 kilograms of marijuana hidden on the bus, which belonged to the company Buses Cosmos. The discovery led to the arrest of three people. The bus had been hired by the club for their journey ahead of a Copa Sudamericana match against Bolívar.

Following the seizure and arrests, the bus company, Buses Cosmos, took responsibility for the situation. They promptly dispatched a replacement bus to ensure the Sao Paulo team, also known as Tricolor Paulista, could continue their journey to their accommodation.
