Cool and rainy week ahead for Poland

Poland is bracing for a week of cool and wet weather, with forecasts indicating temperatures below seasonal averages. The country will be under the influence of a low-pressure system, bringing overcast skies, rain, and scattered thunderstorms.

The Polish Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) predicts that the cool air mass will persist throughout the week. Monday, July 20, will see moderate to heavy cloud cover across most of the country, with intermittent rain expected except in the southeast. Northern regions may experience thunderstorms, with rainfall totals potentially reaching 30 mm in some areas. Maximum temperatures will range from 17 to 23 degrees Celsius.

Tuesday, July 21, will continue the trend of cloudy skies and rain, particularly in the northeast, where thunderstorms are also possible. Temperatures will remain cool, ranging from 17 to 21 degrees Celsius. Winds will be moderate to strong, especially along the coast.

However, a gradual warming is expected to begin around the weekend of July 25-27. Forecasts suggest that by Saturday, July 25, maximum temperatures could reach 27 degrees Celsius in the southwest, potentially climbing to 32 degrees Celsius in the south by Monday, July 27.
