Copa Airlines to gradually resume flights to Venezuela, except Caracas

Copa Airlines announced a phased return to Venezuelan routes on Thursday, following authorization from the country's aviation authorities. The airline will resume regular flights between Panama and Valencia starting Thursday afternoon, and will restart operations to Barcelona, Barquisimeto, and Maracaibo on Friday. However, flights to and from Caracas will stay suspended, initially until July 2, 2026, depending on operational conditions in the capital.

This decision comes after significant disruptions to air operations caused by strong earthquakes that recently shook various regions of Venezuela. The airline stated it is implementing special measures to assist affected passengers, offering options such as free date changes, modifications to flight origins or destinations, and refunds under specific conditions.

Copa Airlines recommended that travelers check their flight status through the airline's website, mobile app, or other official channels before heading to the airport. The company also expressed solidarity with the Venezuelan people and assured that its teams are working to provide alternatives for passengers impacted by the situation.
