Copa Libertadores: Today’s match, kickoff time and where to watch live

The 2026 Copa Libertadores quarterfinals begin with a historic matchup: Fluminense host Platense in the first leg at Rio de Janeiro’s Maracanã Stadium.

Fluminense, the 2023 champions of the Americas, advanced from the round of 16 by beating Independiente Rivadavia on penalties. The teams drew 0-0 in the first leg and 1-1 in the return match before Fluminense won the shootout 5-4.

Platense also reached the quarterfinals through penalties, defeating Coquimbo Unido after a 1-1 first-leg draw and a goalless return match. The Argentine club, led by Martín Palermo, is appearing in this stage for the first time in its history. Paraguayan Héctor Bobadilla is part of the Platense squad.

Uruguayan referee Andrés Matonte will officiate, with Andrés Cunha handling the VAR. The match starts at 7 p.m. in Paraguay, Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay; 6 p.m. in Chile and Venezuela; and 5 p.m. in Ecuador, Colombia and Peru. ESPN will broadcast the game through several providers, while Disney+ will stream it online.

Platense’s lineup includes Juan Pablo Cozzani, Agustín Lagos, Ignacio Vázquez, Víctor Cuesta, Tomás Silva, Pablo Ferreira, Martín Barrios, Guido Mainero, Nicolás Retamar or Nicolás López, Gastón Togni and Bruno Sepúlveda or Gonzalo Lencina, coached by Palermo.
