Copenhagen Pride organizers have emphasized their ongoing dialogue with authorities concerning security for the event, scheduled from August 8 to 16. This statement comes after a tragic incident in Berlin where a car plowed into a crowd at a Pride event, resulting in one death and 16 injuries.

German authorities are investigating the Berlin incident as an attack. The organizers of the Copenhagen march extended their condolences to those affected in Berlin.
