Copenhagen Pride parade proceeds without arrests, police report success

The Copenhagen Pride parade concluded successfully on Saturday, with Copenhagen Police reporting no arrests or significant disturbances. "It went well and without any major issues," stated duty officer Mads Østermark. He noted that minor incidents can occur with large crowds and alcohol consumption, but nothing substantial arose.

Thousands of people joined the parade, which marked the 30th anniversary of Copenhagen Pride. The event, a celebration and human rights movement for LGBTQIA+ individuals, saw participation from prominent figures including Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen and several other ministers.

Authorities, including Copenhagen Police and the Danish Security and Intelligence Service (PET), had coordinated security efforts for the event, based on PET's current threat assessment.
