Cork edge out Galway in gripping camogie final on history-making day

Cork has clinched their 31st All-Ireland senior camogie title, narrowly defeating rivals Galway 2-14 to 0-19 in a thrilling final at Croke Park.

The match, the third installment of a compelling trilogy between the two camogie powerhouses, was played in front of a record crowd of 33,419 spectators. This historic attendance underscores the growing popularity and significance of the sport.

Despite trailing by six points midway through the second half, Galway staged a remarkable comeback, scoring the final five points of the game. In the dying moments, Galway's goalkeeper Sarah Healy took a free from distance, aiming directly for goal, but the shot sailed over the crossbar as the final whistle blew, sealing Cork's victory.
