Coupang Logistics Center Fire in Incheon Spreads to 7th Floor

A fire erupted on the 6th floor of a Coupang logistics center in Incheon, South Korea, on the morning of July 18th, quickly spreading to the 7th floor. The blaze, which began around 6:54 AM, prompted fire authorities to issue a national mobilization order, deploying 386 firefighters and 142 pieces of equipment to the scene.

The 6th floor of the facility is described as a large warehouse with a three-tier shelf structure, heavily stocked with combustible household goods. The fire has spread upwards, engulfing the 7th floor as well. Firefighters have been battling the flames for over 13 hours, but the sheer volume of flammable materials has made containment difficult.

Despite the intensity of the fire and its prolonged duration, there have been no reported casualties. President Lee Jae-myung has directed authorities to "devote all efforts to extinguishing the fire and ensure that the damage does not spread."
