CPBL: Jake Dahlberg's two homers power Rakuten Monkeys to victory, back into first place

The Rakuten Monkeys secured an 11-1 victory over the CTBC Brothers, thanks to a dominant pitching performance from Jake Dahlberg, who threw seven innings of one-run ball. This win propelled the Monkeys back into first place in the second half of the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL) season, surpassing the Wei Chuan Dragons.

Dahlberg, making his 18th appearance of the season, also contributed offensively with two home runs, marking his first multi-homer game since arriving in Taiwan. His solo shot in the eighth inning extended the Monkeys' lead to 6-1 before the team exploded for six more runs in the same inning. Dahlberg has now hit four of his six season home runs at the Taipei Dome, driving in 11 runs with his homers alone.

The Brothers used four pitchers in the game, with outfielder Song Cheng-Jui even taking the mound in the ninth inning to avoid further taxing the bullpen. Despite drawing a crowd of 18,977, the highest for a Tuesday game in CPBL history, the Brothers' home record at the Taipei Dome remains at 0-6 for the season.
