CPBL: Kuo Tien-hsin Reaches 100 Career Stolen Bases

Wei Chuan Dragons outfielder Kuo Tien-hsin reached a significant career milestone on Sunday, successfully stealing his 100th base during the seventh inning of a game against the TSG Hawks at Chengcing Lake Stadium. This accomplishment places him in an elite group as the 33rd player in the history of the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL) to achieve 100 career stolen bases.

Kuo's 100th stolen base came in a crucial moment during the seventh inning. After hitting an infield grounder and reaching base, he timed his sprint perfectly during teammate Namo Yi-yang's at-bat, making his move on the first pitch and successfully sliding into second base to mark the historic occasion.

Before Sunday's game, Kuo was tied for third in the league with 16 stolen bases for the season. His last successful steal was on June 30th, and he had attempted one in July that resulted in an out. This 100th stolen base is not only a personal achievement but also a notable one for the Wei Chuan Dragons franchise, as he becomes the third player in their history to reach this mark, following in the footsteps of Daish and Li Kai-wei.
