Crete: Dual deadline Friday for jobs and nursery places

Residents of the Mylopotamos Municipality in Crete have until Friday, July 10, to meet two important deadlines. The municipality is accepting applications for both temporary employment and for enrollment in its nursery and kindergarten facilities.

The employment opportunity involves 10 positions for contract staff to support the municipality's revenue-generating services. These roles include two drivers, six refuse collectors, and two irrigation workers, aimed at bolstering the sanitation and irrigation departments. Interested candidates must submit their applications, along with required documentation, at the municipal headquarters in Perama.

Simultaneously, the deadline for registering or re-registering children in the municipality's various childcare centers has been extended to the same date, July 10, ending at 23:59. Applicants must upload all necessary documents exclusively in PDF format. Applications left in 'NEW' status will be automatically deleted, and those eligible for the EETA program must apply through both the municipality and the EETA platform, as these are independent processes.

The municipal authority is encouraging all interested parties to complete their submissions in a timely manner, advising against waiting until the last moment to avoid potential system errors or missed opportunities. This dual deadline highlights the municipality's efforts to fill essential service roles while also ensuring adequate childcare provisions for its residents.
