Cristina Kirchner's supporters project presidential palace image onto her home

Supporters of former Argentine President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner marked the first anniversary of her house arrest with a symbolic projection of the Casa Rosada presidential palace onto the building where she resides. The provocative display, organized by Hurlingham Mayor Damián Selci, featured a balloon release with the slogan "Cristina inocente" (Cristina innocent) and banners demanding her freedom.

Selci celebrated the event on social media, calling it "An immense demonstration of love and loyalty." The initiative aimed to show solidarity with the former president as she serves a six-year prison sentence for defrauding the state in the Vialidad case, which involved public works contracts in Santa Cruz province awarded to Lázaro Báez.

Recently, the Federal Chamber of Cassation definitively confirmed the execution of assets belonging to Kirchner and her children, Máximo and Florencia. This decision followed the rejection of their extraordinary appeal to the Supreme Court of Justice. The ruling allows for the immediate seizure of assets, estimated to be worth around 685 billion pesos, with Kirchner and her children being jointly liable. While Lázaro Báez's assets have already been auctioned, Kirchner and her children possess significant wealth, making them the primary targets for asset recovery.
