Croatia is bracing for a weekend of intense summer heat, with temperatures predicted to soar up to 38°C, especially along the Dalmatian coast. While the Adriatic region, particularly Dalmatia, is forecast to enjoy predominantly sunny skies, inland areas will see more unsettled weather. Localized thunderstorms and showers are expected, particularly in the afternoons, with some potentially intensifying in inland Dalmatia.

The Croatian Meteorological and Hydrological Service (DHMZ) has issued heatwave warnings, highlighting the significant risk to health from the extreme temperatures. The strongest heat is anticipated in Dalmatia, where temperatures could reach 37°C, and up to 38°C in the southernmost parts. Despite sunny conditions, afternoon showers are still possible, especially in the interior and Konavle.

Looking ahead, the forecast suggests a continuation of sunny weather inland with rising temperatures, prompting renewed heat warnings for the entire interior from Monday. The Adriatic coast is expected to remain sunny with moderate winds, and temperatures are unlikely to change significantly.
