Croatian firm to produce 20,000 combat helmets for Slovakia

Croatian defense company Šestan-Busch announced it will supply protective helmets to the Slovak Republic's armed forces. The agreement, facilitated by the Croatian Ministry of Defense, allows Slovakia to jointly procure the helmets through Croatia's existing framework agreement with Šestan-Busch.

The deal initially covers 10,000 ballistic helmets, with an option for an additional 10,000, potentially bringing the total to over 20,000. Šestan-Busch, a leading European manufacturer, stated the helmets will meet the highest international standards for protection, quality, and operational requirements of modern armed forces.

Company director Alojzije Šestan highlighted the project as significant recognition for Croatia's defense industry and a testament to international trust in Croatian-made products. He expressed particular satisfaction that the project will be realized through cooperation between two friendly nations.

This collaboration is expected to further demonstrate the Croatian defense industry's capability in international equipment programs and bolster defense ties between Croatia and Slovakia. Šestan-Busch exports to over 80 countries and is a regular participant at major international military trade fairs like Paris Eurosatory.
