Croatian striker Petar Musa eyed by Mexican giant Tigres as Correa replacement

Croatian forward Petar Musa is attracting interest from Mexican club Tigres, according to ESPN reports relayed by Excelsior. Tigres is in the market for a new striker after losing Argentine World Cup winner Ángel Correa to River Plate.

Musa is reportedly one of three candidates being considered by Tigres. The other potential targets are Serbian striker Dejan Joveljić of Sporting Kansas City and Brazilian player John Kennedy from Fluminense. As of now, there is no confirmation of an official offer from Tigres to FC Dallas, nor is Musa definitively their top choice.

Musa has enjoyed a successful season in Major League Soccer (MLS). He has scored 12 goals in the current campaign and was once again selected for the league's All-Star team. Since moving to the United States, he has become a key player for FC Dallas, netting a total of 46 goals. He particularly stood out last season, equaling a club record for goals in a single season with 19 across all competitions.

Musa was also a notable player for Croatia in the recent World Cup, scoring a goal against England. His strong performances in MLS have once again put him on the radar of clubs outside of American soccer.
