Croatian Women's Volleyball Team Dominates Lithuania 3-0 in European League Opener

Croatia's women's volleyball team secured a decisive 3-0 victory over Lithuania in their opening match of the European League, held in Osijek. The Croatian team showcased resilience and skill to claim their first win of the season.

The first set saw Croatia largely in control, ultimately clinching it 25-23 after a hard-fought battle. Lithuania put up a stronger challenge in the second and third sets, frequently holding the lead. However, the Croatian players managed to turn the tide in both instances, securing the sets 25-22 and 25-21 to seal the overall victory.

This win marks Croatia's first in the current European League season. In their previous match, they were defeated 1-3 by Greece. Lithuania had previously lost 0-3 to Greece.

Key contributors for Croatia included Luna Bečić and Ana Burilović, who both scored 12 points. Tonka Bošnjak added ten points to the team's total. For Lithuania, Martina Paukstyte was the top scorer with 14 points.

Croatia is scheduled to compete in a tournament in Hungary on June 13 and 14, where they will face Estonia and the host nation, Hungary.
