Crystal Meth Found During Traffic Stop, Two Arrested in Germany

Police in Mücheln, Germany, arrested two men after discovering about 500 grams of crystal meth during a routine traffic stop. The 64-year-old driver and a 57-year-old associate were taken into custody and subsequently placed in pretrial detention.

Authorities initiated searches of the suspects' residences following the drug discovery. In the Saalekreis region, investigators searched the 64-year-old's home, while another search was conducted at the 57-year-old's residence in Halle. These searches yielded smaller quantities of drugs and additional evidence.

The public prosecutor's office sought arrest warrants for both individuals, which a judge then approved, leading to their placement in investigative custody. The exact relationship between the two suspects remains unclear at this time. Crystal meth, a synthetic drug known for its extreme danger, is commonly sold as small crystals on the black market.
