Crystal Palace negotiate £24 million move for Darío Osorio as Premier League deadline approaches

Darío Osorio could become the headline deal of the Premier League’s transfer deadline day. Crystal Palace have turned their attention to the 22-year-old Chilean winger, with reports putting the possible fee at about £24 million.

According to journalist Simon Jones of the Daily Mail, Palace changed their target as uncertainty grew over the possible arrival of French defender Malick Fofana. Fofana has also returned to Sunderland’s radar after Palace tried to move ahead of the English club in the race for his signature.

The negotiations over Osorio are unfolding with the clock running down. The Premier League’s summer transfer window closes at 11 p.m. in England on Tuesday, September 1, leaving Palace only a few hours to reach an agreement with Midtjylland and complete the required paperwork.

Osorio joined the Danish club from Universidad de Chile and has established himself as one of the leading young Chilean players abroad through his performances in Europe and for the national team. Danish newspaper Herning Folkeblad reported that he did not take part in Midtjylland’s training session, describing an imminent departure. “Osorio se vende hoy en una operación récord.
