Cuba Denounces US Siege and Escalating Threats Amidst Blockade's Human Cost

Cuba continues to endure the unwavering hostility of the United States, a nation that has imposed a brutal and illegal blockade for over six decades. This siege, which the U.S. government itself admitted in a 1960 memo was designed to provoke desperation and overthrow our government, has intensified in recent months. The U.S. elite now openly speaks of military aggression, adding to the economic strangulation that denies our people basic necessities.

Despite this constant pressure, the Cuban people demonstrate extraordinary resilience. We face shortages in every aspect of daily life with stoicism, while simultaneously combating a relentless media campaign designed to discredit our revolution. This campaign falsely blames our government for crises deliberately engineered by our aggressors, using pretexts like fabricated claims of terrorism sponsorship.

The United States' campaign extends beyond our borders, pressuring other nations to sever ties and even expel Cuban health professionals who provide vital aid to impoverished communities worldwide. This isolation strategy, however, fails to account for the global solidarity and dignity that many nations uphold. Cuba stands as a testament to resistance against imperialist aggression, a beacon of sovereignty in the face of overwhelming power.
