Cyber University of Foreign Studies English Department Completes Successful Short-Term Language Program in Guam

Cyber University of Foreign Studies' English department recently concluded its summer short-term language immersion program at the University of Guam. The program, which ran from June 28 to July 4, provided 25 undergraduate and graduate students with an intensive English language and cultural experience.

Led by Professor Hong Ji-ye, the program was designed to maximize efficiency for its participants, many of whom are working professionals. The curriculum combined focused English conversation practice with diverse cultural activities in Guam. This approach aimed to build both language proficiency and global competency.

Students found the program highly beneficial. Professor Hong expressed satisfaction with the program's success in motivating students, noting the extensive planning with the University of Guam.

Cyber University of Foreign Studies' English department is the largest among South Korean cyber universities. It offers five specializations: Practical/Business English, TESOL, English Interpretation and Translation, Aviation Tourism English, and AI & English. The department also provides unique extracurricular programs like online lectures by native speakers, one-on-one phone English, and overseas cultural exploration trips.
