Cyclist argued with driver who later died. Court acquits him, finding he was not responsible

A court has cleared cyclist Václav Socher in the case of a physical confrontation with a driver in central Prague who later died.

The appeals panel ruled that the act did not constitute a crime, making the acquittal final. Prosecutors had accused Socher of causing serious bodily harm resulting in death and of disorderly conduct.

Socher denied responsibility. He said the driver and her daughter drew him into the confrontation after they insulted his children.
