Cyclist Dies in Serious Traffic Accident in Slovenia

A fatal traffic accident occurred in Bohinjska Bistrica, Slovenia, when a 75-year-old driver veered into the oncoming lane and collided with a cyclist. The cyclist, riding an e-bike, sustained severe injuries and died at the scene despite resuscitation efforts.

First responders and medical personnel attempted to revive the cyclist, but their efforts were unsuccessful. The incident was attended by an investigating judge and a state prosecutor. Police have initiated proceedings against the driver on suspicion of committing a crime against public traffic safety.

Separately, on the same Sunday, another fatal traffic accident occurred in Senovo, where a 29-year-old driver died after his vehicle went off the road and hit a tree. In the preceding 24 hours, Slovenian police handled 129 traffic accidents, resulting in two fatalities, 15 minor injuries, and three severe injuries.
