Cyfrowy Polsat's Q1 Results Show Growth, Telecommunications Segment Recovers

Polsat Plus, formerly known as Cyfrowy Polsat, has demonstrated a robust financial performance in the first quarter of 2026, exceeding expectations and reversing a negative trend.

The company, led by Piotr Żak, achieved a 3% year-over-year revenue increase, reaching 3.64 billion PLN. Crucially, its adjusted EBITDA grew by 4.7% to 847 million PLN, signaling a positive turnaround, particularly within its core telecommunications business which includes Plus and Netia.

This resurgence is attributed to a combination of factors, including the successful introduction of a new, simplified service offering for households and businesses, which has led to higher average customer bills. The green energy segment also contributed significantly to the overall growth. Investors will be watching closely to see if this positive momentum can be sustained in the coming quarters.

While the company managed to stabilize revenues and increase customer spending, the slight decline in the total number of customers remains a point of attention. Nevertheless, the financial results presented by Cyfrowy Polsat offer a welcome sign of recovery and growth in Poland's competitive telecommunications market.

This was a very good quarter financially. The group's revenues increased by 3 percent to over PLN 3.6 billion, and adjusted EBITDA – by 4.7 percent to PLN 847 million. The green energy segment made a significant contribution to this growth. At the same time, our key B2C and B2B services segment recorded good results, increasing EBITDA by 2.3 percent.
