Alternatively, users can choose to access content for free by agreeing to the use of cookies and other tracking technologies for targeted advertising. This involves the creation of user profiles based on browsing habits and online activities to display personalized ads. iDNES.cz states that this data will be processed by MAFRA, a.s., and its 125 advertising partners.

The portal provides detailed information about how user data will be utilized, including for ad performance measurement, audience understanding through statistics, and the development of services. Users have the ability to manage their privacy settings and withdraw consent for data processing at any time. However, opting out of targeted advertising may lead to a prompt to switch to the premium, ad-free service.
