Dacia Spring: The Small Urbanite Returns

The Dacia Spring, a compact electric city car that has sold over 200,000 units globally, is preparing for its next generation. The first model impressed with its small dimensions and SUV-like appearance, making it a flexible choice for urban environments.

Dacia has confirmed the new Spring will retain its name and focus on the European market. It will adopt a more contemporary look, drawing technological inspiration from the new Renault Twingo. The electric powertrain is expected to include an 82-horsepower motor and a 27.5 kWh LFP battery, providing an estimated range of around 250 kilometers, which exceeds the average daily driving distance for European motorists.

While the first generation offered basic features, the upcoming Spring is anticipated to be richer in equipment. Dacia is also committed to maintaining its affordability, with the new model slated to start at approximately 18,000 euros. This pricing strategy positions the Dacia Spring as one of the most budget-friendly electric vehicles available in the European market, aiming to dominate the urban mobility sector with zero emissions.
