Dadaocheng fireworks show dual-city cooperation: Lee Shih-tsung

New Taipei City mayoral candidate Lee Shih-tsung attended the Tamsui River fireworks festival, calling it a demonstration of cooperation between Taipei and New Taipei. Lee stated that he spoke with Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an during the event and plans to jointly organize future fireworks displays.

Lee watched the fireworks from the Zhongxiao Pier in Sanchong District, New Taipei City, while Chiang was in Dadaocheng, Taipei. "We also spoke on the phone," Lee said. "I told Mayor Chiang that although this event spans both sides of the Tamsui River, the sky we look up at is the same. We will jointly create and organize this event so that all citizens of Taipei and New Taipei can enjoy the beautiful night view."

Lee shared photos of the fireworks on Facebook. He said that in the future, he and Chiang will work together to organize the event, allowing citizens from both cities to enjoy the night scenery. The candidate made these remarks while canvassing in Shulin District on Sunday morning.
